The idea behind our Emmie Kate website was inspired by one of my most precious creations, my daughter Kate and her cousin and best friend, Emmie. Born just a few weeks apart, they have grown up together and delighted us with their adorable connection and attachment to each other. It was while searching for quality fashionable jewelry for Kate (and finding very little to choose from) that I came up with the concept to craft jewelry myself that was as solid, lasting and beautiful as the bond shared between the two girls.

After having two sons and one step son the first four grandchildren were all boys. Hubby was one of three boys and he and I had decided that boys were going to rule our world LOL.
That was until my oldest son bestowed upon us a princess - Miss Hailey. She is so girly girl and so very pretty. No we aren't biased at all. We now have two other princesses in our life but Hailey's little sister Katie is a rough and tumble sort of girl and we don't get to visit the other granddaughter as much as we would like so it has been so nice having a touch of girly girl in our little boy world.
