Lands End

Lands End is synonymous with fashion and durability. You know that when you get a coat from them that it will keep you warm and look good doing it. The Lands End guarantee has always been an unconditional one. It reads: “If you’re not satisfied with any item, simply return it to us at any time for an exchange or refund of its purchase price.” We mean every word of it. Whatever. Whenever. Always. But to make sure this is perfectly clear, we’ve decided to simplify it further. Guaranteed. Period. So with winter fast approaching and temperatures going down, who couldn't use a new fleece pullover?
Here are two of my favorites:

Woman's Regular Half Zip Pull Over

Exclusive antistatic treatment resists static cling, static shock, lint and pet hair
Permanent antistatic finish never washes out
Famous ThermaCheck softness is still here
Lightweight ThermaCheck 100 Half-zip is ideal for layering and cool-weather exercising

and the Woman's Sherpa Fleece

Our thickest fleece
Feminine fit
Cotton/jersey lined for comfort
Half-zip style looks great and helps regulate body temperature
TEMPERATURE RATING: 0°/10° Fahrenheit. Over layering pieces, this Sherpa Fleece Half-zip will keep you warm in 0° weather; over a light layer, in 10° weather.

Would you like to win one of these amazing pull overs?
The winner will get to pick which one they want to win and in what color.
Just leave me a comment telling me about your favorite winter memory.
Contest ends October 24.

My favorite winter memory was when there was a snow day and school was canceled. My mom stayed home and my best friends spent the day here watching movies and eating soup.

My favorite memory would be the time I went Christmas shopping downtown with my daddy when I was a little girl. We parked the car and walked the whole length of Main St. in the cold, stopping at various shops along the way. On the way back to the car, we went into a little cafe and had hot chocolate.

My favorite memory is the year we spent Christmas at our cottage. The road was too snowy to drive down, so we put all our items on sleds and pulled them into our cottage.

My favorite winter memory has to be the year I got Ice Skates for Christmas I was 8 or 9 I think. We had a park behind our house that made a huge Ice skating rink each winter, and I didn't have any skates and always had to watch the other kids skate. I loved having my own and pretending I was a figure skater!

Mine was when the kids were around 10-11 and 16, then the whole state was having a state of emergency due to the snow storms. drifts and ice. They had shut down the steep roads due to the ice. One, right by our house, that was about a half mile long, at a very steep angle. They had the best time with all the other kids. Most only lasted a few times down the hill because the walk back up was treacherous! Some would wait or just go half way back up. It was fun to see tons of kids and adults having so much fun. By the time we got home, the electricity was still out, so we sat around the fire having Hot Chocolate and marshmellows. They all fell asleep right were they sat and the oldest fell asleep with the cup in her hand! Papa and I just looked at them and their happy sleeping faces and saw how precious they looked and felt how blessed we were to have such beautiful, healthy children that filled our lives with such love and joy, even in bad situations.

The time the municipal borough building erected a huge 40 foot tree complete with huge colored bulbs in their parking lot which could be seen from out back door. Loved looking at that beautiful tannenbaum every night as they'd turn the lights on at 5:30 pm! skyskyaa11@gmail(dot)com

I grew up in Texas, so snow was pretty rare. One winter we had snow and my Mom made snow ice cream. It was wonderful!!

I have to confess - I hate winter! It is beautiful when it snows, but I am afraid to drive in it and I have to visit my Dad every day and really dread the snow and ice. That said, I had fun with my kids when they were little, especially making "igloos" and making a little skating "puddle" in the back yard. One memory stands out - my neighbor fashioned a beautiful "snow dog" which looked exactly like our Irish Terrior, "Erin". He even sprayed with with coloring to make it more realistic.
